i love these table toppers! i had one of those table toppers with the suction cups and the crumb catcher but it never stayed suctioned. yes, these placemats only have adhesive on the top and bottom and my lil one does try to rip it off, but i simply distract him with food and he soon forgets. this is not a problem for us and we love the alphabet border. these are worth the money.

The problem with these Table Toppers is that only two sides (top and bottom) stick to the table. My 1 year old rips the Table Topper off the table using the sides that are unsecured. Get the Table Toppers that have adhesive on all 4 sides (i.e. Winnie the Pooh and Sesame Street).

My daughter uses these for my grandson when they go out to eat. These are much more sanitary than the tabletops and there's no plate for him to throw on the floor. They have never had a problem with him peeling them off of the table. Plus they're great for the restaurant people because it makes cleaning up after him easier.

My 14 month old granddaughter was always pushing the restraunt placemats
off the table and onto the floor. these placemats seemed to be the answer.
however, when she could not push, she peeled it off and threw it on the floor. waste of money for me.
