Chicco products are easy to use and maneuver about the house. This baby high chair has four casters for easy mobility. It is also extremely easy to clean. The double seat pad is vinyl and thick so baby is extra comfortable. One of the great comforts of the high chair is the 7 different seat positions. It allows the child to grow right along with the Chicco high chair. What makes it that much more special is that the child can sit at the table with mom and dad. The heights allow the baby high chair to look just like a regular chair. The Polly has an easy fold which stands upright for convenient storage. The trays on the high chair are removable and dishwasher safe, another feature designed to help mom and dad. | | | Features: | |

Love/hate relationshipJul 26, 2008 My only negatives are:
1. Not easy to clean... Cover not machine washable. Trays are dishwasher safe but will not fit in any dishwasher(I have the dishwasher that they show the tray fitting into, with dishes, and it will not even fit in when it is empty. Well it will fit but the sprayer cannot spin. Also in the main tray there is a groove where the top and bottom meet which must be cleaned with toothpick after most if not all feedings.
2. Does not stand well when folded. When folded the unit does stand but tips easily so only safe in area in between two items of furniture or walls.
Positives :
1 Before my son was using it to eat, it was a great ride for him because it was easy to wheel. Kept him calm at our meal times.
2 Tray easy on and off and stores on the back of the legs.
3 Latches are easy to get child in and out but not easy for child to open. The difficult portion of the latch is only there to remove the cover.
4 If you care, it is a lot more attractive then most childrens items. Blends well with house depending on the pattern you choose.
I will say that because of the cleaning issues I am not sure if i would recommend this or not.
If you do not mind the extra cleaning time It is a great highchair
Happy with it...Jul 17, 2008 I've actually been happy thus far (I've had it for 6 months). Got it as a belated shower gift and although it's pricier than the standard fare (Graco, EvenFlo, etc) it does seem quite a bit sturdier. The others priced below it seem really cheap and flimsy.
My son moves around quite a bit in it and it has stood up well to his activity. I too felt the shoulder strap hooks were ridiculously hard to unclip, until I realized you never have to unclip them. It's basically a standard 3 point harness and once you unclip the leg strap, you can easily pull your baby's arms through the shoulder straps, just like a car seat. It appears that the only reason the clips for the shoulder straps are added are so you can REMOVE the straps altogether once your child is older and only needs the waist strap (which is how we use it now).
I find it pretty easy to clean since every piece comes off of it and you can clean it really easily that way. Although it does have many nooks & crannies, the fabric is so much easier to clean them some of those cloth ones (even if you can launder them). Since this highchair is a permanent fixture in my kitchen I much prefer fabric like this that can never stain. I also like the colors available which are a little different than what other manufacturers offer.

Poor DesignJan 09, 2007 Awful. Feels cheap. Looks cheap. But isnt cheap. Harness connection is IMPOSSIBLE. Seat doesnt support my 5 month old (though she's within the guidelines). Harness/restraints wont tighten enough--that doesnt matter though, as I cant unlatch the clips. They're cheap clips requiring too much force and time. The tray is too easy to get offtrack (I can see why other reviewers had related safety problems)
An additional tray is pointless. Its not as if you'll use one while the auxilliary tray is in the dishwasher... it wont fit!!!
Sure, this high chair does all the things the chairs of this class do: it reclines, it has multiple height adjustments. I think this wowed some of the other reviewers but ... all the other highchairs at this price point have the same perks! So RUN, do not walk toward any OTHER highchair.
We had this chair in our house for a day, then drove it back and begged for an upgrade.
We bought the Peg Perego Papa Diner because it was the only other chair model our store had. Its $70 more but having had the Chicco in my house... I can appreciate the quality of the Peg Perego. Its sturdier, has a better finish, has a more sensible harness latch, and a tray thats easily inserted. AND my baby FITS in it for her first solid meal!
I am so relieved.
My sister-in-law asks if I got a bargain. I probably own one of the more expensive highchairs out there, but YES! I've been spared living and struggling with the Chicco, and I have an expensive but incredibly functional and reasonably attractive replacement. A TOTAL BARGAIN
