Good, but not perfectFeb 01, 2008 We have had this bottle for about 6 months, and I do like it. The cap and straw mechanisms are great. The straw is of high quality and is easy to clean. The cap closes tightly and opens easily.
I would recommend it. The only problem is that on one of its many drops, the bottom pink plastic broke. It is glued to the bottom of the bottle itself (plastic-to-metal), so the break just caused a crack on the side "wall", and made a protruding pointy piece that was sharp and hard. Not good. I had to struggle with pliers to rip out the plastic and scrape off the glue in order to make it useful again.
The plastic should be more resistant to the inevitable drops.
Another minor issue is that it is of substantial weight. It feels "solid".
I would recommend it because it is a superior product, save for the bottom plastic breaking.
Like these straw cupsJan 28, 2008 Bought these cups as an alternative to plastic sippy cups for my toddlers. They like using them. They are durable. Would recommend them. Will leak if left uncovered when not right side up, but the cap is easy to use.

Great alternative to plastic cups, but....Jan 15, 2008 I bought two of these for my kids and really like them. Beverages stay cold for hours and they do not sweat or leak. However if your child is a chewer, that straw will not last long at all! My oldest chewed the straw immediately and of course now it has a nice slice of a hole in it. I'm going to see about ordeing a replacement part, but it will probably not be cheap.
I'd go w/ the Sigg cups if you are shopping around. They work just as well and you don't have to worry about soft plastic parts! We have serveral of these, as every member of our family uses one.
works greatJan 10, 2008 Got this item for my almost 3yr old as a better alternative to the plastic sippy cups we have. She really likes it. Can easily pop it open herself. I like how the inside straw comes out in pieces for thorough cleaning. Have dropped it a few times onto hard pavement, but it doesn't seem to have gotten damaged in any way. Am actually thinking of getting another to have an extra.

Great product that my daughter just loves!Dec 20, 2007 My 21 months old daughter loves this! She carries it around the house and won't let anyone touch it. I was a little worried about it from our reviews, but I wanted something that will keep her milk cold for hours. It actually does keep her drink cold for the entire day. If she does not finish her milk in the morning, she can still drink it in the afternoon because it is still cold. The only downside is that the thermos cup bottle is not spill proof, so when my daughter accidently knocks it over, liquid will spill out. The thermos is only leak proof when the lid is locked on. With that said, I am still giving it a 5 stars because it does work well and unlike the previous reviewers, my daughter does not throw her bottles onto the ground, so there is no problem with breaking pieces or drinks being spilled into the car.
I think it really helped a lot that I showed her how the bottle works when we first got it, and she learned right how to lock and unlock the lid right away, and she always locks the lid after she is done using it.
I would not buy this for a child younger than 20 months or a child who throws bottles though, I think you would have a lot of spill problems.
