Good but not for Bar height chairsAug 26, 2008 If we had a regular sized table and chairs this would have been ideal for both of my kids but we have the newer bar height chairs. We tried it anyway despite that the directions IN the box (not on the box) said not to. In the first 10 minutes, my 3 year old barely moved the chair, and it toppled over and the kaboost snapped really lowdly. Scared my kids to death and the chair could have hurt someone, so don't use it for bar heighth chairs. Of course, this was our fault, but I wished they would have printed something on the outside of the box so we didn't have to make a trip to return it. Great idea though!
Love this booster!Aug 15, 2008 This has been great for my daughter. She can get on and off the chair by herself without having to worry about a booster seat to set up or possibly fall off. It was easy to attach to the chair and it's portable for when we travel. My only complaint is that the chair doesn't slide easily on the floor anymore, but I suppose we could put something on the bottom so that it slides easier.
Works great but the website didn't fully informAug 13, 2008 I loved the concept of having one less piece of furniture in our tiny one-bedroom apartment so I thought this product would be a great high chair replacement. It looks weel made and sturdy but I have a counter height table with chairs that have a 24" seat height. Right on the front of the box it says "Not to be used with seat heights over 20 inches." Nowhere on this site does it mention that and to return it I would have to pay the return shipping dispite their ommission of a very important piece of product information. We ended up sticking it in the closet and just using the Totseat (which I ABSOLUTELY love!!!!).Totseat - Stripe in Blue
Great itemAug 09, 2008 Very simple to assemble. only complaint is that it sticks to the floor so you'll have to lift the chair to push your child closer to the table. Great product.
Baby Booster Seat, Be Gone!Aug 07, 2008 My 4 year old isn't quite tall enough to sit comfortably at the dinner table without his booster seat, protesting that booster seats are for little babies. However, when he sits on the chair without the booster, he ends up kneeling or trying to stand in order to reach his plate and cup.
I was very intrigued when I stumbled across the Kaboost on Amazon. I wondered if it would be a bulky, faulty disaster, but I've been very impressed.
It is sort of an odd contraption, but the design makes it possible to fit a variety of chairs, even those with slightly curved back legs. There are two height settings, depending on which way you turn the Kaboost. We're using the lower setting so my son's legs can still fit under the apron of the table.
When I first placed Kaboost on one of my dining room chairs, I was worried that the strong, rubbery grips on the bottom would prevent my independent child from scooting his own chair out so he could climb in, but he's managed just fine without any help. And he loves it! He's been able to reach his plate with ease, no more standing or kneeling. As I type this review, he's coloring and sitting comfortably in his chair.
Highly recommend!
