4A Great Cup for Weened Breastfed ToddlersAug 12, 2008
I too breastfed my daughter for the first year of her life, and she wasn't great at realizing she needed to tilt a regular sippy cup up to get anything out, so she would get frustrated. I bought one of these hoping this would help her with this problem. I also bought it because I make us fruit smoothies almost every day, and the strawberry seeds would get stuck in the regular sippy cups and she couldn't ever get anything to come out. This cup allows her to drink her smoothies with ease.

My only issues with it are, that sometimes it does leak if it's left on it's side, not always, but probably half the time. So I do have to keep my eye on her especially when she just has milk in it. This is when it tends to leak more frequently. The smoothie is thick enough that it doesn't leak. Only when she decides to drop it on the tile floor does smoothie go flying out the straw and splatters the ground.

As far as cleaning it goes, I don't find this as challenging as the last reviewer did. If you have two hands and ten fingers, I don't see the problem with putting it together or screwing the cap on and off. I did buy extra lids that supplies extra straws, but I haven't lost anything as of yet.

I now own three of these, and have recommended them to other mommy's I know.

4love this cup!Jul 06, 2008
i love this cup, my son used the playtex drop in bottles so when it came time for a sippy cup he didnt understand that you have to tilt the cup up since he didnt have to with his bottles, found one of these in a walmart and he took to it at once, the only down fall was the first one did leak but took it back and they had the new ones that has less straw parts and it works great! no leaks and my 16 month old throws it down all the time, the other downside is that the straws are hard to clean and they are hard to find in stores, but you can order them from good for kids website at a good price and can order replacement straws too!!! great cup and i should know, we tried almost all that are out there, the ones with the handles are great too

2PITA!!!Jun 15, 2008
So, I started my infant on these around 9 months old. They work great if your child doesn't understand that they need to tip the cup up to drink from it. (My son is now almost 12 months and still isn't great at this) So I thought, perfect, he can drink from any angle. Well, I only use these with water because he is constantly flicking the straw which holds a small amount of liquid in the top (it doesn't flow back down the valve). So after having formula flying everywhere...the stroller, car, kitchen wall, my face, etc... I got fed up with it. He only gets water because it won't cause a stain when he plays with the straw or sets it down too hard. Any other type of liquid, and he gets a normal sippie cup and we are working on teaching him to tip it up so he doesn't just suck air. Not sure I would have tried these had I researched them before buying a few at the local store.

5My son loves this!Jun 14, 2008
I bought this for my 10 month old son who could never quite get used to drinking from a regular sippy cup. He loves drinking from straws so when I saw this I had to have it. The straw is soft so he doesn't hurt his mouth on it. I am so happy I bought it because it is so easy for him to use. As for it leaking, it does on occasion leak but no more than any other sippy cup I have come across.

5Absolutely the best....Jun 10, 2008
I don't know why so many people say these leak. They do not. Maybe they're not putting the lid on properly. It's easy to screw it on crooked.

We've been using these for almost a year now.
I have 4 of these (along with 6 others with handles) and they're awesome. I have tried every sippy cup out there and these are perfect.

There are not too many parts to it. Only the lid and the straw! Very easy to clean and sturdy. My 18 month old son throws them across the room as hard as he can and not one broke or came apart.

They're the only cups that work, don't leak and don't break.
