Cute looking but not very useful. My 9 month old daughter just rips it off the table and throws it on the floor.
 good concept but.....May 22, 2008
i was so excited to use this when i first bought it. i was quickly disappointed. this is a good concept but it just doesn't stay suctioned. this ended up being tossed around by my little guy and he would not leave it alone. i ended up buying and using the disposable table toppers and found that they make going out to eat a lot less stressful.

I have a nine month old daughter and we use this when we go out to eat! It covers most of the area in front of her high chair and suctions to the table so it stays in place. She is learning to self feed so she can enjoy picking up her cereal and I don't have to worry about germy tables. The little "catch all" works great too for the dropped pieces! Less lands in her lap! Everytime we use this, we have parents asking us where to get it! It rolls up easily and fits conveniently into our seat cover case. I would definitely recommend this to new mom's.

Works great, but need to clean quicklyDec 19, 2007
We love this item for our daughter. I feel good knowing that the place in front of her where she's going to put her hands is nice and clean and gives a good place to put her food (since when she was younger plates were a distraction). Our only problem is that we've gone through quite a few of them, because if we don't remember to clean it as soon as we get home it becomes moldy and we haven't had success getting the mold off.
After the meal, we'd scrape off the food that we could, but we frequently get our daughter pasta with red pasta sauce so there's be residual pasta sauce left. In spite of the issues we've had having to go through multiple placemats, I like this product better than the others. The "catch" in front really helps.

Love this placemat. It sticks to the table so it will not move and it has a crumb catcher which is great.
